Aufgaben

As Sous Chef at Chesa Veglia, you are a key member of our culinary team, supporting our Head Chef in leading a first-class kitchen operation. Your main responsibilities include:

  • Proactively supporting the Head Chef in the planning and creation of menus, with a strong focus on freshness and quality.
  • Ensuring consistently high standards in both food presentation and taste.
  • Taking responsibility for compliance with hygiene standards in accordance with legal regulations.
  • Leading and supporting the kitchen team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Managing the ordering and control of food supplies and kitchen equipment (purchasing system KOST).
  • Monitoring and ensuring adherence to hygiene and safety procedures (HACCP).

Angebot

  • Fixed-term contract for 10 months.
  • 5-day work week with an average of 43.5 hours per week.
  • 5 weeks of vacation and 6 public holidays per year.
  • 13th month salary from the start date (pro rata temporis).

Profil

  • Completed vocational training as a chef (EFZ) or an equivalent, officially recognized qualification.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in upscale gastronomy or hospitality, ideally with initial leadership experience.
  • Creativity and a genuine passion for preparing and presenting high-quality dishes
  • Strong organizational skills and an independent, structured, and resilient working style.
  • A team-oriented attitude, strong communication skills, and pronounced leadership qualities.
  • Very good Italian skills, good English skills; additional languages are an advantage.
